Tom is a Consulting Chief Financial Officer with more than 25 years of professional financial experience. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado and has extensive background in helping companies significantly increase financial and operating performance by implementing strategic planning, organizational development, and performance management processes.
Prior to joining vcfo, Tom spent much of his career as a CFO for a variety of organizations, including Regal Piedmont Plastics, Deep Rock Water Co., Richey May & Co., Inland Metal Technologies, APR Consulting Co., and Mirage Trailers. Some career highlights include:
- Nominated CFO of the Year in 2008 by The Denver Business Journal.
- Doubled the value of a private equity backed five-gallon bottled water home & office company in less than three years.
- Successfully created the largest joint venture of industrial plastics distributors in the U.S. with $175 million in revenue.
- Helped four companies become GAAP compliant through implementation of systems, processes, and procedures to convert from cash to accrual basis.
- Completed back-to-back financial audits with no adjustments from outside audit firms.
