Rejuvenate Your Total Compensation Package

WEBINAR DATE: September 28, 2022

Recruiting, retention, and rewards programs… it’s all many executive leadership teams can think during this period now dubbed ‘The Great Resignation’. But what can you actually do about it to set your business up for success?

Now that you’ve got the right people in the right roles, how do you make them want to stay, learn, and grow alongside your organization? Part III dives into innovative recognition and reward strategies that go beyond the typical compensation and benefits packages.

In vcfo’s three-part webinar series, we’ll discuss things like:

  • How your finance and HR teams work together to improve people operations;
  • Succession planning and exit strategies;
  • The real financial implications of hiring the right people;
  • Reward and recognition packages that bring your compensation strategy into 2022;
  • And more.

Two of vcfo’s Senior People Operations / HR Consultants Karli Osgoodby, SPHR, and Paul Hagerty, PHR, SHRM-SCP discuss how to strategically navigate these complicated, yet mission critical employee issues.

Q&A

Question: How would you recommend gathering employee feedback when evaluating your total rewards strategy?

Answer: Engaging your employees in conversation is always one of the best ways to ask and understand what your employees value – even the total rewards strategy. When the numbers or geography won’t allow one-on- one conversations, we need a wider net. Many employee survey platforms, facilitators, organizations are available to customize your survey program. From soup-to-nuts expensive to very affordable self-built surveys (SurveyMonkey, for example).

Question: How often should you evaluate your total rewards strategy?

Answer: We suggest that you evaluate total rewards strategy annually. Market and economic circumstances may cause you to look closely more often.

Question: How do you handle communicating total rewards statements to employees? Do you hand them out or do you meet with and present to employees individually?

Answer: Every opportunity for personal interaction/video conference is a good time to get and give feedback. Total rewards can be a retention, recruiting, and motivating tool. Use to your team’s advantage.
