Joe Williams is warmly welcomed to the vcfo team as a Consulting CFO in the Dallas market.
Bringing with him more than 25 years of experience, Joe is entrepreneurially spirited and works with business leaders to develop new strategies, models, and streamline processes that build profitability.
At the operational level, Joe is respected as a dynamic, roll-up-his-sleeves leader. He enjoys helping to hone the leadership skills of team members through interactive training and mentorship. Thoughtful and collaborative, he is at ease working with a wide range of public, private, or private-equity stakeholders.
Exceptionally strategic and creative, Joe has a keen sense that enables him to see around corners, offering his clients an edge they wouldn’t otherwise enjoy.
Prior to joining vcfo, Joe was a CFO for companies in the manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and event spaces. Among many successes, Joe grew an HVAC startup to $46M in annual revenue and 250+ employees by acquiring 15 companies in 12 months, leading the financial and HR processes and systems integration.
Joe successfully guided a steel landscape manufacturing company through the challenges of COVID-19. Sales soared 21 percent thanks in part to Joe’s efforts to increase production capacity by adding a second shift to meet the demands of customers.
While CFO at a hospitality, events and meetings company, Joe grew its profit 72 percent by developing new business lines, negotiating improved contract terms, and overseeing the integration of several roll-ups. In addition to finance, Joe also managed the company’s legal, HR, IT, contracting, compliance, and hospitality services teams.
Since 2007 Joe’s contributed to the Boy Scouts of America, teaching and mentoring hundreds of youth. For 10+ years, he’s also served on the City of Lucas, Texas, Planning and Zoning Board, currently serving as the Vice Chairman.
A hunter, hiker, and camper, Joe has a horse, miniature donkey, and miniature cows. He and his wife are graduates of Texas A&M, rarely missing home games.
