VCFO Hires Chandler in Seattle

Firm taps 25-year financial veteran as CFO associate

SEATTLE, Wash. and AUSTIN, Texas – October 24, 2007 – A 25-year financial veteran has joined the Seattle office of vcfo Inc. David Chandler has joined the finance, accounting and human resources services firm as a CFO associate.

The latest addition marks the third significant new hire the Seattle office has made since June. Other noteworthy additions include Robert “Bob” Gundersen and Terrence “Terry” Niehaus as controller associates, both of which have more than 20 years of related industry experience.

Chandler’s expertise in finance and accounting within the technology industry includes overseeing multiple initial public offerings, securing public and private equity, handling debt financings and managing merger/acquisition sale transactions. Chandler has also provided leadership in areas such as sales and business development, strategic planning, HR/Administration, computer and management reporting system implementations and organizational restructurings.

“We are excited to bring someone of Chandler’s caliber on board at vcfo,” says Jerry McGuire, managing director of vcfo Inc.’s Seattle office. “His experience in multiple senior management positions combined with his deep understanding of finance and accounting across public and private technology companies will be an asset to our firm and our growing client base.”

Before joining vcfo, Chandler served as chief operating officer of Straitshot Communications, where he was a key member of the management team which built the Company from start-up phase to $5 million in revenue.

Prior to Straitshot, Chandler was the chief financial officer at Stellar One Corporation. There he closed over $20 million in private equity and convertible note financing from both strategic and "angel" investors. He developed finance, legal, accounting and HR functions and implemented strategic and budgeting processes.

Previously he was vice president of Advanced Radio Telecom, where he was responsible for the prospectus for a $35 million initial public stock offering and a $135 million high yield debt offering.
Chandler has also held senior executive positions at Kidstar Interactive, Burlington Environmental, Burlington Resources and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Chandler received a BS in Business Administration and a BA in German Language and Literature from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accounts.

“I am excited to join vcfo’s growing team. Given my background and vcfo’s focus on venture-backed technology oriented businesses, it was the perfect fit for me,” Chandler says.
